Acting President Yemi Osinbajo left Nigeria on Tuesday for London where he visited President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo who has been functioning in acting capacity since May 7 when the ailing president departed for medical vacation, arrived the Abuja House in London in the night and spent one hour with the him. The visit was the first. The acting president returned to Nigeria shortly after the meeting.
Although Osinbajo did not speak to the media, his spokesman Laolu Akande tweeted that “it was a good meeting”, and that details of the meeting would emerge shortly.
Osinbajo is expected to preside at the Federal Executive Council meeting today in Abuja.
