Manchester United react to electrocution of fans in Nigeria

Manchester United (Man U) on Friday reacted to the news of death of their Nigerian fans via electrocution in Calabar, Cross River state, with sadness.

The Club in a condolence message Tweeted: “Our thoughts go out to the United fans, their friends and families affected by the tragedy in Calabar, Nigeria, yesterday.”

The fans were electrocuted on Thursday night at 9.30pm while watching the Europa League match between Manchester United and Anderlecht in Calabar. A cable fell on the television viewing Centre, wounding several people and killing others.
