How we impersonate police, army to seize motorcycles and resell -Suspects


The Rapid Response Squad (RRS), under the Lagos State Police Command, has arrested a member of a three-man syndicate, which specialises in stealing motorcycles.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Oladapo Badmos, made the disclosure in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos.

The statement gave the name of the suspect as Goodness Allison.

It said that members of the syndicate always disguise in police and military uniforms to steal motorcycles which they later re-sell to unsuspected members of the public.

The statement said that Allison and his gang had stolen over seven motorcycles from riders in Ejigbo and Ikotun areas of the state.

It quoted Allison as saying that the gang usually operate between 9 p.m. and 11p.m.

Allison told the police that the gang normally meets at Isheri Junction for operation.

He said that one of the gang members, Wilson wears military polo, long sleeves with camouflage trousers and black shoes.

He added that the third person, Aboki wears black pullover with black trousers and shoes.

The statement said Allison had been transferred to SARS for further investigation and arrest of other suspects.
